Full Scorecard- Irvine Willows,Cisco

The Man - The Mission
Chandru - man with a clear mission, did an exceptional work with his scoring and supporting the team. He was present at the ground as usual as one of the early birds. And relentlessly accepted the scoring task. In various scenarios during the visitors innings he had to interfere and correct the umpire with his counting on deliveries and score. I really admire his passion towards to the game and his commitment to the team. Thanks to Anand, Abhijeet S & J also for their support.

The Catch
Partha - He was guarding the deep square leg for the Irvine Willows. There was a neatly connected lofted hit in that area, Partha made a valiant effort in collecting it. But the momentum carried him away towards the boundary line, so he had to throw the ball inside the ropes (cones). It seemed to be a cause for a controversial decision and leg umpire claimed it as dropped catch. Venki interfered and calmed down both the teams, that its not legitimate to throw the ball as the fielder has to have full control over the ball and to be present inside the ropes to be termed as a catch. The batsman continued, but Partha's effort was really above the mark.

The Bulls-Eye
Visitors batsman tried to clear Venki for a biggie, but it was quicker delivery. He totally mis-cued that, and the ball ballooned towards covers region. Manoj was little late to reach the ball, but he recovered quickly and took a smart decision to throw towards to the keepers end, and the batsman was shy on his crease. To the wonder it’s a bulls eye and which required no decision from the leg umpire. What a flat throw for the direct hit. Still Venki, made a comment that it’s a sitter dropped and a wicket is missing from his tally.

The Pacers
Rishi - 3-0-14-0
Pankaj - 2-0-7-0
Gour - 4-0-13-1
Pratik - 3-0-13-1
Visitors were waiting for the bad overs, to cut loose but that was not in the scripts for this day.

The Cautions U-Turn
There was shot which was traveling to wards to the deep extra cover which will never meet the boundary after hitting the fence, since in CC park (Cypress Community Park) has no boundary on that region it depends on running between the wickets. On everyone's wonder,  Pratik who was fielding at the long off made cautious decision to run along the cones to stop the boundary. Others witnessed a different scene, seeing a fielder who is running on a different direction rather than attacking the ball.

The Exit
Half of the visitors team left the ground before completion of 12th over. Overall a good show of cricketing on a low scoring match. Witnessed disciplined bowling from both the sides, it would have been much better game if the visitors showed some sportive attitude.
